Ibajay Tourism-Transportation |
If traveling by land and water, try the RoRo ( roll-on, roll-off) route via the Strong Republic Nautical Highway which starts from Cubao, Quezon City by public transportation until Batangas port. Passengers will disembark and make a transfer to a ferry boat which will bring them to Calapan, Mindoro port. After arrival passengers will switch to a bus ride heading towards Roxas, Mindoro port. Another transfer to a ferry boat will complete the trip to Caticlan, Malay port. A hop into the bus will finally bring you to Ibajay, on way to Kalibo and Ilo-ilo. Make sure to inform the conductor that the bus will stop at the Ibajay waiting shade.
Once in Ibajay, tricycle abounds and tricycle drivers will bring you to your final destination. Just opposite to the waiting area is an extension of the police station, “Pulis” where you can ask for any direction or other information.
Board a plane at the domestic airport in Manila heading to Kalibo airport or Caticlan airport. Going back to the origin of your trip, follow the sequence of the route but only in reverse order.
